The mind is but a cave

The mind is but a cave,

a cave unlike any you've seen,

a cave that hosts treasure troves,

a cavernous passage of secrets and magic,

a place from where your life unfolds.

A cave you got to explore,

a cave you got to learn to escape,

a cave of infinite potentialities and equal danger,

a cave from where you could wish your life to existence,

a place that could crumble down on you

and crush you under the weight of its debris.

A victory over the mind is a victory over oneself

for a mind unbridled is a mind lost in chaos.

Hence one be the master, not the slave

and choose the soldiers you let in your cave;

a cave with chambers endless,

pathways that twist and turn

in a never-ending trail,

a cave capable of illuminating itself eternally,

one capable of darkness in equals.

The cave is entirely yours to live in

and does not belong to you at the same time

for you fashioned something with a life of its own,

a life capable of creations unfathomable,

yet, a life that has no life without you,

a life that is left to ruins in your absence,

a life that thrives for as long as it's nurtured,

a life that withers away when left in its own account

for its powers are a double-edged sword;

and creation or destruction would in time, unfold.
