When the spirit is buried
under loads of sand and silt,
unwanted debris
deposited by the crane that is life,
accumulated from the beginning of adulthood-
or for those who aren't so lucky, from the dawn of childhood-
one ought to dig.
Start digging from early on,
pulling out weeds and throwing off debris with insane agility,
to reveal a soft egg-like mass
radiating light and life:
If this be the physical embodiment of your spirit,
let the body of your spirit be relieved of the weight of the world,
and let the spirit of your spirit consume you whole.
Remember this,
Winds carry debris from place to place,
transporting impurities through the surface of the living world,
water cleans and cleanses all;
be either water with an intention-
'to rid the spirit of dirt'-
or the working hands of men and women,
constantly digging out all that has burdened your spirit.
Thus one be both the worker and the master,
digging, shoveling, throwing, flowing, washing,
and eventually getting the "Crane"
to work under you, for you,
with you.
