Climate crisis is very real,
the consequences are right here.
Rising global temperatures is not a joke,
nor are the melting glaciers and the permafrost.
Political fools dare to call climate change a hoax,
ignorantly, shamelessly stating a false paradox.
Those in power are drunk on power,
blissfully sidestepping the need of the hour.
The gravity of the problem somehow fails to spring them to action;
an adrift world consumed by the pandemic of inaction.
Heatwaves, extreme winters and untimely rains,
floods, droughts, cyclones and hurricanes;
disasters and pandemics cause great suffering and loss,
as nature continues to fight back with force.
When would the world finally see
its wreckage escalated to a great degree?
When would the populace redeem its ways,
and be the change before the entire system derails?
Take responsibility, share accountability,
undertake green initiatives to the best of your ability,
abstain from purchasing single use plastics,
and hesitate not before planting a tree, but before installing ACs.
Global consciousness requires elevation,
the world calls for action in the same direction,
not mere hundreds or thousands, but the entire nation
must will in equal measure and make this your vision:
SAVE THE PLANET AND SAVE THE FUTURE.
